JANINE SUTTO is a prominent figure of Quebec's cultural
scene, having explored most of its facets. In 1942, she co-founded the
theatre L'Équipe, where she held her first great roles. She took
part in the beginnings of the TNM and played the theatre classics and
Quebec created productions on the most famous stages, where she still
appears. Very active on television, she's created unforgettable characters
that have left a mark on the minds of the Quebec audience. Woman of theatre,
she's received numerous awards and honours (2000 Hommage Rideau award,
2000 Hommage award at the Gémeaux gala, 2001 Hommage award at the
Soirée des Masques, Quebecor Hommage award 2008). On the big screen,
she's given memorable performance in Les Boys III (L. Saia)
and recently played in La Capture (C. Laure).
