Over the years, DONALD PILON has made a marked impact
with his film roles and numerous television characters. 1968 saw the beginning
of a fruitful relation with director Gilles Carle for whom Donald Pilon
would play in nine movies including Le viol d'une jeune fille douce,
Red, Les mâles, and La vraie nature
de Bernadette, a performance that won him a Cannes Film Festival
nomination. He has also worked for directors Claude Fournier, Jean-Claude
Labrecque, Denys Arcand, Marc-André Forcier, Denise Filiatrault
and Jean-François Pouliot (La grande séduction).
DONALD PILON has played in major television series such as Jamais
deux sans toi, Le retour, Le Coeur découvert, Détect. inc.
and Les invincibles. Theatre audiences have seen
him in productions such as Assorted Candies, Piège pour un
homme seul, Le spot ideal, La cage aux folles, and Fidélité.
A former president of the Academy of Canadian Cinema
and Television, DONALD PILON currently sits on its board.
