As a director, screenwriter and teacher, he leads a prolific career in the film scene. First writing jointly with Léa Pool (Strass Café, La femme de l'hôtel, À corps perdu and La demoiselle sauvage) and Jacques Leduc (Trois pommes à côté du sommeil and L'âge de braise), he executed his first movie in 1988: Sortie 234. He's contributed to various projects from time to time, including L'ordre du temple solaire by Guy Fournier, La part des choses by Diane Poitras and Cargo by François Girard. Le fil cassé marked his return to film direction, after the earlier Cap Tourmente and Un même sang and the short film Lettre à mon père. From 1996 to 2001, MICHEL LANGLOIS was the educational and artistic director of Montreal's National Institute of Image and Sound (INIS).
