Under a clownish journalist, JEAN-RENÉ DUFORT is hiding a critical scientific mind. His reports, though sometimes funny and often mordant, are always meaty and rigorous. First working in the science environment, but being attracted by communications, he started to contribute to the journals Québec Science, Les Petits Débrouillards and mainly Protégez-vous. His articles revealed the style of news he wanted to make. Around the same period, he began doing reports on the TV shows Bon Matin and Bonjour chez vous, and then at Marc Labrèche's radio show. Let's add that it is within the context of the show La fin du monde est à 7 heures, hosted by the same Labrèche, that he gained public renown. Then followed 2000 ans de bogues, and Infoman, which he' been hosting and directing since October of 2000, including end of year specials. The two shows have owed him many awards. Since 2005, he's also been co-hosting the TV show En attendant Ben Laden, first with Pierre Brassard and Marie-Soleil Michon, and now with Pierre Brassard and Chantal Lamarre. Finally, after co-hosting for a few years the radio show Y'é trop d'bonne heure, he is now CKOI radio's morning man on Du jus et Dufort.
