A playwright, stage director, actor, translator, screenwriter,
teacher, poet and a polemicist, RENÉ-DANIEL DUBOIS has written
many a play, including Ne blâmez jamais les Bédouins,
which owed him the Governor General's Award in 1984, was played in France
and in Belgium and was the subject of translations. Being at home
with Claude, created in 1985, was also translated in several languages,
put on in several continents and brought to film in 1992. Besides, RENÉ-DANIEL
DUBOIS has written many articles, and sci-fi texts for film, television
and radio. He adapted several and staged many plays: Les guerriers
by Michel Garneau, Le roi se meurt by Ionesco, Kean
by Alexandre Dumas and La demande d'emploi by Michel Vinaver,
among others.
