Josée di Stasio has lived and breathed multiculturalism from the moment she was born. Raised by an Italian father and mother from Quebec, her childhood and personality were forever marked by the diverse colours and characters that came and went through her life.  Not surprisingly, her own ideas and projects reflect the rich culture of her roots and upbringing.

By nature curious and eclectic, Josée's early passion for photography led her to the world of television. Aided and abetted by her trademark broad smile, she soon became a favourite presenter with both Quebecois and French televiewers. For the last eight years, she has starred in her own show, the eponymous À la di Stasio, which has picked up  armfuls of prestigious awards. Her love of sharing everything about cooking and the art of living has earned her a large, dedicated Quebec fan base that implicitly trusts her choices and judgement.  For Josée di Stasio, what better reason is there for packing her bags and searching for great dishes than the key ingredients of good company and fun? Much as she loves traveling in order to bring other cultures' gastronomic treasures into her viewers' lives, there is something closer to home that is also very close to her heart. Quebec has an enormous wealth of high quality, homegrown products that she tirelessly promotes to her audience.

Josée has written two recipe books (À la di Stasio and Pasta et cetera – à la di Stasio) that were major bestsellers in Anglophone and Francophone markets alike. She has won the 2005 Gold Canadian Culinary Book Award (French Language category); five Prix Gourmand World Cookbook awards (Pasta et cetera was voted the world's second best Italian cookbook); two Applied Arts awards for the quality of photographs and graphic design of her books.
