A versatile screenwriter, GILLES DESJARDINS writes
for television, documentary and fiction, as well as short and feature
films. Among his screenwriting achievements are Bilan ,
which owed him a Gémeaux award for best drama script, and Shabbat
Shalom, which won the Gémeaux for best drama. He was also
the head writer, head of research and story editor for various documentary
series which he created, including Enquêtes , Missions secrètes
and Des crimes et des hommes , which received
the Gémeaux for best documentary series. He wrote the screen adaptation
of Les muses orphelines (directed by Robert Favreau) and
the screenplay Les pots cassés (directed by François
Bouvier) , which won him the award for best screenplay at the Moscow International
Film Festival. Moreover, he contributes to the screenplay of Revoir
Julie (Jeanne Crépeau) and co-wrote the feature film Madame
Brouette (directed by Moussa Sene Absa) , in competition at the
Berlin Film Festival and winner of 3 prestigious film awards in Paris,
Milan and Bresilia. He's actually developing feature film entitled Featherbed.
