CATHERINE DE LÉAN completed her acting   training at the Conservatoire d'art dramatique de Montréal in 2005.  Her film career began with the female lead role in Stéphane Lapointe's movie, La vie secrète des gens heureux for which she received the first prize for Best Actress at the Whistler Film Festival.  Many other films quickly followed such as À vos marques… Party!, La Capture and Le Banquet.  On stage, she played in Août (un repas à la campagne) and in 2009, she played Mathilde in The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds at Théâtre du Riveau Vert.   We have seen her in TV series such as Les hauts et les bas de Sophie Paquin I to IV and Trauma, both broadcasted on SRC.  In 2010 she will be part of Michel Tremblay 's play Thérèse et Pierrette à l’École des Saints-Anges, directed by Serge Denoncourt, and will also play in Maxim Gorki’s Vassa, directed by Alexandre Marine.
