Much sought since 1999 for his lighting designs in the
theatre, dance, musical and opera scenes, ETIENNE BOUCHER has taken
part in more than sixty productions and was four times nominated to an
award by the Académie québécoise du théâtre.
He has collaborated with stage director René Richard Cyr on several
occasions, on the musicals Les Parapluies de Cherbourg
and L'Homme de La Mancha, amongst others, and with choreographer
Sylvain Émard - designing lighting for every one of his productions
since 2001. Since 2004, he's been working with Ex Machina and the stage
director Robert Lepage, a collaboration which developed on La Celestina
in Spain, Lipsynch on an international tour and The
Rake's Progress, which will be co-produced with five opera houses
from around the world. They will keep on working together, soon on Le
Rossignol and The Ring, at the Metropolitan Opera
House in New York.
