Versatile director, MARTIN BARRY has first distinguished himself as animated film director; his short film Juke-Bar (1989) won many international prizes, including a Genie award. For the NFB, he wrote and directed the medium feature film Élizabeth Chénier (fiction, 1995) and the first part of the series Une minute de science, s.v.p.! (animation, 1998). He then worked for television as screenwriter and director of Le club des 100 watts and Zone de turbulences, among others, and directed the documentary series Past Lives II and III, and Fallait y penser. He's pursuing an active screenwriter and director career in the animation, television and multimedia fields.
