His career has been rich and varied. He as always been very active in theatre, radio, television and film. Working as a writer, stage director, screenwriter and teacher. With more than fifty films to his credit (including JA Martin photographe, which he also co-wrote and which won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival), he is arguably one of the pioneers of Quebec cinema. During his career he has won numerous awards and earned many honours for his achievements.
